Our Lightweight British Wool Duvet is designed for comfort without bulk. Individually handmade in Devon, it is filled with 100% British wool and finished with a smooth, breathable cotton casing. The result is a duvet that feels light on the body while helping to maintain a stable, comfortable sleep temperature.

The 300gsm wool filling allows air to circulate freely, making this duvet particularly well suited to warmer seasons, centrally heated homes, or anyone who tends to sleep warm. Each piece is crafted by experienced seamstresses using fully traceable wool certified by British Wool.

Yes. Wash on a 30°C wool programme using a wool-safe detergent. Use a gentle spin, reshape while damp and allow to dry naturally. For larger sizes, a machine with higher capacity may be required.

Is this duvet suitable for allergy sufferers?

Wool naturally resists dust mites and bacteria without the need for chemical treatments, making it a suitable choice for many people with allergies or asthma.

Where does the wool come from?

Dispatch Information:

Dispatch Days: Our dispatch days are Monday – Friday, excluding Bank Holidays, and deliveries are normally made on working days.

Dispatch Timing: We aim to dispatch orders on the same day if ordered before 12:30pm (Mon- Fri) and use a DPD Next (working) Day delivery service*. However, as each of our duvets, pillows and mattress toppers is individually handcrafted by our seamstresses in Devon, please bear in mind that during peak or busy periods, there may be a slight delay in the dispatch of your order.

*Please note: There are some areas within the UK where the actual delivery time will take longer (usually 2 - 3 days from dispatch). These include Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands, Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Shetland and Channel Islands.

Bespoke Products: Bespoke products usually take no more than 2 weeks but timings will be given at the time of ordering.

Should the need arise, we reserve the right to select our carriers and /or third-party delivery services at our discretion to ensure timely and secure delivery of our products. This policy helps us maintain our commitment to service quality and efficiency.

Our Christmas Opening Hours:

As we all embrace the joy of the festive season, our team at Devon Duvets will also be taking a little time to rest, recharge, and enjoy precious moments with their families. We will be closed from 24 December to 28 December 2025 (inclusive), so our last day for pre-Christmas dispatches will be 23 December 2025.

A small Devon Duvets team will be available to respond to enquiries by telephone and email on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 December, with a limited dispatch service. We will then be closed from 31 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 (inclusive), returning on Monday 5 January 2026, refreshed and ready to begin handcrafting our luxurious duvets, toppers and pillows once again.
