Sometimes, something comes along that makes you stop, smile and feel very proud.

That's exactly how we felt when we read the recent review of our British wool duvet in Good Housekeeping.

Over the years, we've talked a great deal about the remarkable natural qualities of British wool. How it helps to regulate body temperature, how beautifully breathable it is, and how it can make such a difference to a good night's sleep.

But there's something very special about reading someone else's experience and discovering that they've felt those benefits for themselves.

Jasmine Vorley's lovely review tells the story of her search for a better night's sleep and how our medium weight British wool duvet helped both her and her partner sleep comfortably through the rather unpredictable temperatures of autumn.

We couldn't help smiling when we read that her partner described sleeping beneath it as being in a cloud. And we absolutely loved that the only downside she could find was how difficult it had become to leave the comfort of their bed in the morning!

But beyond the lovely things Jasmine said about sleeping under our duvet, something else really touched us.

She recognised the importance of the British wool we use, its traceability back to British farms, the natural qualities of the fibre and the craftsmanship of the people who make our duvets, pillows and mattress toppers here in Devon.

When we began Devon Duvets in 2008, we had a dream of creating something special from a wonderful natural British resource. We believed that good materials, skilled hands and genuine care could make a real difference.

Those beliefs remain at the heart of everything we do today.

There have been many challenges and adventures along the way, as there are with any family business - but we've never lost sight of why we started.

And perhaps that's why this review means so much to us. Because it reminds us that the things we care about really do matter to people

We want to say a very special thank you to our team, whose skill, dedication and pride go into every single product we make. And to all our customers, who have supported us, encouraged us and helped our little Devon business grow over the years.

And, of course, a heartfelt thank you to Jasmine and Good Housekeeping for such a thoughtful and beautifully written account of her experience.
