Naturally better comfort

Which wool mattress topper is right for you?

A wool mattress topper can soften a mattress that still offers good support, add natural cushioning and create a more breathable sleeping surface. Our collection includes three handcrafted wool toppers, plus a lighter wool mattress protector for customers who primarily want protection with gentle cushioning.

Our classic comfort topper

100% British Wool Mattress Topper

Our classic wool-filled mattress topper is handcrafted using 1200gsm of traceable British wool, encased in a beautifully soft brushed-cotton casing. It provides a generous layer of breathable cushioning and is a natural choice when a supportive mattress feels firmer than you would like.

  • Approximately 5cm deep in standard adult sizes
  • 1200gsm of traceable 100% British wool
  • Soft, breathable brushed-cotton outer casing
  • Elasticated corner straps help keep it securely in place
  • Available in standard UK, EU and bespoke sizes

The Junior topper is approximately 2cm deep and contains less wool because it is designed specifically for children. Mattress toppers are not recommended for children under 12 months.

Mattress topper or mattress protector?

They perform different jobs, although they can be used together. Your choice depends on whether you primarily want deeper comfort, practical protection or both.

A topper adds comfort

Choose a wool mattress topper when your mattress remains supportive but feels too firm, or when you want a deeper layer of natural cushioning.

A protector protects

Choose a mattress protector when your mattress is already comfortable and you want a lighter, breathable layer that helps protect its surface.

Caring for your wool mattress topper

Regularly air, turn and rotate your wool topper to help keep the filling fresh and evenly distributed. Wool mattress toppers should be spot cleaned only and must not be machine washed, tumble dried or dry cleaned. Our complete care guide explains how to protect your topper properly.
