How to Care for Your

Wool Pillow

Caring for Your Devon Duvets Wool Pillow

Our pillows are individually handcrafted in Devon using fully traceable 100% British wool (certified by British Wool). Wool is naturally resistant to dust mites and the build-up of micro-bacteria, making it a hygienic, hypoallergenic filling. As a rule, the less you wash wool, the better it performs.

To keep your pillow fresh, simply air it whenever you change your bedlinen (or at least every few weeks). Hang it outside on a dry day, or indoors over a clothes airer, door, or chair near an open window for a few hours.

Your Devon Duvets wool pillow has been individually handcrafted by our seamstresses, here in Devon, using fully traceable 100% British wool, that’s been certified by the British Wool organisation. Wool is naturally resistant to dust mites and the build-up of micro bacteria, so this makes it a hypoallergenic and hygienic filling for pillows. As a result, it doesn’t need washing very often and, in fact, the less you wash it the better the wool fibres will perform.

So, whichever type of Devon duvets pillow you have, it can be kept fresh with regular airing, and this can be done whenever you change your bedlinen but at least once every few weeks. Hang the pillow up outside if the weather is dry, but if not, then over a clothes airer/top of your bedroom door or the back of a chair near an open window for a few hours will do the trick!

If, however, you feel your pillow needs a deeper clean, this does require a bit of TLC, so please refer to the table below. Please let us know if you require any further information regarding the care of your pillow.

As with all natural wool products, please avoid leaving in a damp environment and do not store away whilst damp.
