British Wool Mattress Topper - EU Single 90 x 210 cm These sumptuous woollen mattress toppers are the best in helping achieve a great nights sleep as they add approximately 4cm of added comfort to your bed and many people find this very comfortable. Whilst our wool mattress toppers cannot take the place of a good mattress, they will certainly give an added softness to a firm mattress and relieve pressure points. These wool mattress toppers have also shown to be successful in dispersing the heat that some mattresses can radiate back up to the body as the topper spreads the heat before it penetrates a heat reflecting mattress. Each topper is individually handcrafted by our seamstresses in England using natural materials to create a high quality product. The wool mattress topper is filled with our sustainable, platinum British wool (approx 1000gsm) and encased in 100% soft cotton. This cotton casing is woven especially for Devon Duvets to support the breathability of the dense wool and is brushed on both sides to create a soft feel and a higher resistance to sliding on the mattress. Broad elastic straps are fastened to each corner of the topper, providing a flexibility for differing depths of mattress. The unique natural properties of wool resist dust mites and can help to relieve the symptoms of allergies or asthma. Wool is also naturally breathable, helping to keep warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer and is therefore perfect for all seasons. Our Toppers are easy to care for, turn regularly on the bed and use both sides. To keep fresh, simply hang outside to air. Any areas requiring more attention can be spot cleaned. All of our mattress toppers are available in standard UK and EU Sizes - if you have a special size, please contact us as we can easily make a bespoke item for you at very little extra cost.

As our bedding is individually made in our Devon workshop rather than taken from a warehouse shelf, dispatch can occasionally take a little longer, particulalry during busy periods. We believe the care that goes into making each piece is worth that little extra time and we will always do our best to get your order on its way to you promptly.

If you need your order by a particular date, please let us know when placing your order or contact us as soon as possible. We cannot always guarantee a specific dispatch date, but we will always do our very best to help wherere we can.

Care Information

Wool has a natural resistance to dust mites and micro bacteria, which makes it more hygienic than many other types of soft bedding.

To care for your topper, we recommend regular airing and turning. Our toppers can be turned top to bottom, side to side and on both sides. We recommend you rotate these each time you turn your topper.

Due to the amount of wool in our toppers, they are spot clean only. They are not suitable for hand or machine washing. We do not recommend dry cleaning as we are committed to using wool that has not been chemically treated and the dry cleaning process uses chemicals that can leave residues behind in the product.

At Devon Duvets we are committed to individually handcrafting wool filled mattress toppers in our Devon workshops. We offer two different options in standard UK bed sizes, and one option in standard EU bed sizes for those customers who may have purchased beds from retailers that sell the slightly larger EU sized beds. Please note that we do not recommend toppers for children under the age of 12 months.
