Split Duvet™ Starter Set – King (225 x 220 cm)

Designed for couples who value their own comfort as much as each other’s, our King Size Split Duvet™ Starter Set brings harmony to bedtime. Each side can be tailored to suit your personal warmth preference, without compromising the luxury feel of one shared duvet.

Handcrafted in Devon using 100% British wool and encased in natural cotton, this unique system allows you to combine two sections — one lightweight, one medium weight — into a single King Size duvet that feels indulgent, breathable and perfectly balanced.

Set Comprises

  • 1 × Lightweight wool section (≈ 300gsm) – 112.5 × 220 cm
  • 1 × Medium Weight wool section (≈ 600gsm) – 112.5 × 220 cm

Why Choose the King Size Starter Set

With more room to stretch out, the King Size Split Duvet™ is made for couples who want generous comfort without compromise. If one of you sleeps warm and the other prefers extra cosiness, each section offers personalised comfort — then joins seamlessly to form one luxurious, unified duvet.

Should you wish to adjust your setup with the seasons, you can easily add or mix new sections from our Split Duvet collection for even more flexibility throughout the year.

Please note that the care instructions vary, depending on your duvet type. Please be sure to use the correct instructions for your duvet.

Caring for your 100% British Wool or 100% British Alpaca Duvet

Wool and alpaca fibres have a natural resistance to dust mites and bacteria, so your wool/alpaca duvet doesn’t need frequent washing. We recommend regular airing and this helps to keep the wool/alpaca nice and fresh. This can be done outside (if the weather is dry), or draped over a clothes airer, near an open window so that air can get right round your duvet.

Should a deeper clean be required, our wool and our alpaca duvets are machine washable - and it helps to think of them as a big woolly jumper! Machine wash in a large capacity machine (so the duvet has plenty of room to move around inside) on a 30 degrees wool cycle, and using a detergent that is specifically created for wool. A gentle spin to remove excess water and then remove immediately from the machine, reshape and thoroughly air dry. Do not tumble dry. We do not recommend dry cleaning as this process uses chemicals. You can find more information on caring for your duvet here.

If you need to store your duvet at any point, it is best to roll it up and place in the cotton bag it arrived in. Make sure it is stored in a dry place, away from humidity and damp. We would recommend re-airing before you use it again.

Caring for your Botanic (100% plant-based) duvet

Your Botanic duvet is made from a 100% plant based fibres containing TENCEL™Lyocell, derived from sustainable wood sources. These fibres have a resistance to dust mites and so your Botanic duvet does not require frequent washing. We do, however, recommend regular airing as this helps to keep your Botanic duvet fresh. This is best done outside if the weather is dry, or inside over an airer near an open window if the weather is damp.

For a deeper clean, your Botanic duvet can be machine washed in a large capacity machine, on a 30 degrees delicates cycle and using a gentle detergent (it is best to avoid 'biological' detergents as these can be harsh). A gentle spin to remove excess water and then remove immediately from the machine, reshape and air dry. Our Botanic duvets can be tumble dried on the lowest setting and we recommend reshaping during this process.  We do not recommend dry cleaning, due to the chemicals used in this process.

For storing, roll up and place in the cotton bag it arrived in, ensuring it is stored in a dry place away from humidity and damp. Re-air before using again.
