These pillows are filled with hand fluffed, loose wool inside a zipped 100% cotton casing. We recommend regular airing, which can be done outside (if the weather is dry) or on a clothes airer near an open window, allowing the air to get right around the pillow. This helps to keep the wool nice and fresh.
If a more thorough clean is required, please remove the fluffed wool (using the zip in the casing) and air the wool separately.
The casing can be washed on a cool cotton wash, using a suitable detergent. The casing can be tumble dried or air dried. Once the casing is dry, replace the wool. We do not recommend dry cleaning this pillow as this process uses chemicals.
Alpaca Pillow
This pillow is filled with hand fluffed, loose alpaca inside a zipped 100% cotton casing. This pillow is filled with hand fluffed loose wool. We recommend regular airing and this will help to keep the wool fresh. If a deeper clean is required, the pillow can be washed on a 30 degrees wool wash and using a detergent specifically created for wool. A gentle spin cycle to remove excess water and then take immediately out of the machine, reshape and air dry. During the air drying process, we recommend that you very gently 'tease' the wool through the casing, which will help in the re-fluffing process. Do not tumble dry.
