British Wool Mattress Topper - Junior Bed Size (70cm x 140cm x 2cm)

Perfect for children, our sumptuous, handcrafted 100% British wool mattress toppers are the best in helping your child achieve sleep well. This junior bed sized wool filled adds approximately 2cm of added comfort to the bed to keep your child cosy and comfortable without being too warm. They can also help to lengthen the life of your child's mattress - fitting snuggly between the bottom sheet and mattress. Each topper contains 600gsm of pure British wool per square metre, encased in a beautifully soft 100% brushed cotton casing.

We only use traceable 100% British wool from farmers in Devon and the Southwest - certified by British Wool (formerly the British Wool Marketing Board).
We only ever use 100% natural brushed cotton for the outer casings of our wool mattress toppers.
A 100% British made product, each mattress topper is individually handcrafted by our seamstresses in our Devon workshops.
Naturally fire retardant.
All our mattress toppers are covered by the Devon Duvets 5 Year Manufacturer Guarantee (see T&Cs)

Easy Care: Turn your child's mattress topper regularly on the bed and use both sides. To keep fresh, simply hang outside to air. Any areas requiring more attention can be spot cleaned. Do not dry clean.

SAFETY ADVICE - We strongly advise that you monitor your child's temperature and not allow your child to become overheated. Although wool can assist in temperature regulation, parental supervision is always required for young children. Health professionals recommend maintaining a regular room temperature of 16°C to 18°C and that a thermometer is kept in your child's room to monitor the room temperature. We do not recommend toppers for chidren under the age of 12 months.

Dispatch Information:

Dispatch Days: Our dispatch days are Monday – Friday, excluding Bank Holidays, and deliveries are normally made on working days.

Dispatch Timing: We aim to dispatch orders on the same day if ordered before 12:30pm (Mon- Fri) and use a DPD Next (working) Day delivery service*. However, as each of our duvets, pillows and mattress toppers is individually handcrafted by our seamstresses in Devon, please bear in mind that during peak or busy periods, there may be a slight delay in the dispatch of your order.

*Please note: There are some areas within the UK where the actual delivery time will take longer (usually 2 - 3 days from dispatch). These include Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands, Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Shetland and Channel Islands.

Bespoke Products: Bespoke products usually take no more than 2 weeks but timings will be given at the time of ordering.

Should the need arise, we reserve the right to select our carriers and /or third-party delivery services at our discretion to ensure timely and secure delivery of our products. This policy helps us maintain our commitment to service quality and efficiency.

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS

We will be closed fom 24th December - 28th December 2025 (inclusive) and so our last date for pre-Christmas dispatches will be 23rd December 2025.

A small Devon Duvets team will be available for responding to enquiries via telephone and email on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th December, with a limited dispatch service.

We will then be closed from 31st December 2025 to 4th January 2026 (inclusive), returning on Monday 5th January 2026, ready to start crafting our luxurious duvets, toppers and pillows.

Care Information

Wool has a natural resistance to dust mites and micro bacteria, which makes it more hygienic than many other types of soft bedding.

To care for your topper, we recommend regular airing and turning. Our toppers can be turned top to bottom, side to side and on both sides. We recommend you rotate these each time you turn your topper.

Due to the amount of wool in our toppers, they are spot clean only. They are not suitable for hand or machine washing. We do not recommend dry cleaning as we are committed to using wool that has not been chemically treated and the dry cleaning process uses chemicals that can leave residues behind in the product.

We offer two different options in standard UK bed sizes, and one option in standard EU bed sizes for those customers who may have purchased beds from retailers that sell the slightly larger EU sized beds. Please note that we do not recommend toppers for children under the age of 12 months.
